Don’t Rock The Boat…

March 9, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

Have you ever considered the principles of unity within a boat that is being rowed by men? Can you see the purpose of a captain and a co-captain working together with respect between the two? Can you see the purpose of when to row and when not, based upon the obstacles or the currents that are in the stream? For what good is a boat being rowed by men if they don’t know how to work together and they are constantly rowing against one another?

Another interesting characteristic of a captain is the vision that he has received to take the boat forward to reach the eternal goal. The object is for the captain to recognize that he might not be the one to take the boat home due to the length of the journey.Where wisdom comes in with leadership is by learning to train the co-captain to take the helm before it is time to step down.

The object is to recognize that God has given us boats from our homes to our careers and to our church. Once we recognize the boat that we have been given it is our place to recognize the gifts of God within each individual to best utilize the talents without restricting the momentum of the boat. For what good is a boat when it is being constantly rocked due to the lack of unity in the ship? Or, what good is a boat with a captain that lacks self discipline and the vision to stay on course?

Don’t allow Satan to spiritually misguide you in the currents of this world and forget God’s instruction to reach the other side….

How To Reach The Other Side…

March 7, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

How careful are you to obey the instructions of God? The older generation that traveled with Joshua in the wilderness took God’s instruction too lightly and they missed the boat to get to the other side. Don’t be fooled spiritually by Satan and think that you can reach God’s promise without being obedient to His Word. Until we learn how to work together in the love of God with unity and without strife between us we will only continue to stand at the edge of the river in wishing that we can get to the other side.

How can we achieve something if we don’t know how to work together in one spirit? The object is to know the spirit that is guiding us and to follow as God instructs. This same principle applies in our relationships from our homes to our careers. For what kind of relationship can we truly expect if all we do is work against one another instead of learning how to work together in the unity of God?

Are You A True Artist?

March 4, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

If you were to look at your life as a piece of art how much depth would you see in your picture? If you were to paint that picture would it include a helping hand in serving the poor or the hurting? Or, would itonly consist of the things that you temporarily have in a self serving picture that produces no fruit in the depth of your life? What good is life with only self serving fruit?

Life is not about trying to paint a picture by only using certain colors and leaving the others out. For if you can’t learn how to use everything you have and blend them in love then your talents are being restricted. My plea to you is to not allow Satan to spiritually restrict your picture and cause you to want to delete the imperfections due to the extra work it is going to take. Learn how to spend time in love in those areas that need to be addressed and watch what will take place.

How Deep Are Your Words?

March 3, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

There are two typesof words with alot of others in the middle. The pendulum of words are either fed from Heaven or from hell. We are in the middle of the pendulum and if our words only serve self then we might as well say we are serving Satan. Think about it! When you tell someone you love them do you really mean it? In 1 Corinthians 13 it says,”Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.

It is easy to say words but as Jesus teaches us our actions show who we are. Do your words have depth and meaning or are they shallow and easily cracked? Words are very powerful and can paint a picture? The objective is to recognize the spiritual artist that is guiding your actions. For if the picture has life then it is being driven by God but if the art is self serving then it is being driven by Satan.

So, the next time you speak and the next time you do a self evaluation recognize your spiritual driver in order to insure that your picture adds something positive to life. For what good is life if we are just a zero without something to add and especially if we are doing something negative that will take away?

What Are Your Motives?

March 2, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

How often do you stop and perform a self check in the mirror of God to examine who or what is driving you? This is very important to understand and to stay in check with because if we are not careful Satan can spiritually take us off coarse. Think about it! Do you do things trying to keep up with someone else? When someone else speaks are driven harder out of love or spite to speak yourself? Why do you go to church out of obligation or out of love? Do you have people in your life that you feel one way about but act another in front of them? Are you being completely honest with your friends and family or are you hiding how you really feel? Why do you work? Is it to one day enjoy your time off or is to build yourself up because you do not know who you are? Do you perform for the awards or do perform just to be the best you can be with humility?

There are many different answers to these questions and there are many more questions that need to be asked. If we do not examine our motives and keep them in check then it is easy to get taken off course. This leads to fatigue due to our human effort which then leads to a fire that will eventually fizzle out. If you were to examine your fire in your work, your school, your church, your marriage, your friends and most importantly with God would you find any hot coals or would they basically be ashes?

If you want to keep your fire burning do it out of love and not out of anger or obligation. For there is no better fire than one that heats others instead of trying to keep the heat for ourselves. Act in love and watch what you will receive in return…

“And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men.”  Colossians 3:23

Spiritual Revelations

Don’t be like Eli in 1st Samuel and miss something that has been given by God. If you recall with Eli he did not listen because the Word of God was rare in those days and he did not recognize what was taking place until he saw the persistence of Samuel…
