Did you know that if we become stubborn that it can be disobedience to God and that our stubbornness will not only affect our lives but the lives of others? Many generations have mistaken stubbornness with obedience because they simply do not understand how to trust in God so they place their trust in man. Out of fear many leaders have become stubborn and forgotten how to recognize how the Lord works through the people and when we miss this is when He often will work through nature in ways to get our attention.
Have you ever witnessed a manager or owner of a company that held on to their position for too long and it sucked the life out of the environment? Have you ever been in a position where you had something to add but you were not allowed the chance to do so due to the insecurities of your superior? If we don’t learn how to pass the baton and work together then don’t be surprised when the foundation begins to lose its footing.
Persistence is good when we know the motives but stubbornness is usually self centered and leads toward rebellion. When you rid yourself of stubbornness and begin to trust God for the outcome you may be surprised in the blessings that God has right before you. Don’t allow Satan to spiritually misguide you in stubbornness and learn to be alert to what God is doing all around you. For the last thing any loving Christian should want is to see the life being sucked out of the game because someone was too stubborn to pass the baton in due season…Amen
