The message of God is so simple that many simply can’t comprehend. In fact man likes to complicate it in order to try to show their own intellect or for their own selfish agendas. We often ask the question,”How?” When the Lord simply says,”Do.”
In 2 Kings 5 there was a man named Naaman who had leprosy. He received Godly direction but struggled with this due to how simple it was. In fact it even offended him due to his stature but through the council of his friends he was convinced to take that simple step of faith to receive the blessing before him.
As a child we are much more trusting than as we are as an adult. If Naaman had been a child and received this direction from an adult then he probably would not have struggled with the how and simply done what he was told. See as we grow older we tend to complicate matters and want details rather than simply trusting in God.
For the Lord says in Isaiah 55,”As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
Breakthroughs come to those who believe and simply take those steps in faith…It is when we complicate the steps that we often become frozen where we are. In other words simply climb and praise God for the view without allowing your fears to rob you of the joy.

Matt, we should look at the word must….”Must” reminds me of the law where we are now under grace. The Lord teaches us that if we truly love thy Father “then” we will want to obey.
You are correct on living under His teachings and following His Word but where I see so many in the past have not understood is “Love.” For true love produces good fruits while not expecting or looking for anything in return…

Hello Jay,
You are right brother… When we love the Lord, just by doing so it makes us want to do right and follow His Word, it makes me question myself constantly asking “What is God gonna think of me if I do this?”, or… “Maybe I should pray about this before I speak on it…”, etc.
However, also by “living under His Word”, it is this that strengthens us and brings us closer to Him.
If I may, I refer to what you said here: “Breakthroughs come to those who believe and simply take those steps in faith…” Taking steps in faith again refers back to “living under His Word”. If we are not in that daily walk that I spoke about earlier, then we will tend to make decisions on our own instead of walking in faith…just like you said, we start complicating things in our own sinful nature.
Back to the main subject, first we accept that Jesus died for our sins and saved us from everlasting Hell, then we start that daily walk of faith under His love and guidance. I guess what I mean is this: There is more required than just accepting Jesus into our hearts, however, that is the start and that very thing has many implications that will guide us throughout our lives.
Please correct me if I am wrong in any way, and thank you for making me think about this. This “Simple Message” is indeed simple, but with the Lord it seems like it is the simple things that matter, such as loving and following Him.
Thanks again.

The message is so simple, ask God for forgiveness of your sins, accept Jesus Christ as your savior, and walk into eternity.

Hello Philson,
I agree with you. It is simple to accept Jesus into your life, however, there is also a “daily walk” associated with the responsibility of accepting Jesus into our lives. Because we are not immediately taken to be with the Lord upon accepting him into our lives, we must actually live under his teachings, follow his Word and live daily under his guidance.
