No Favortism With God

January 4, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

My brethren, do not hold the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with partiality.  For if there should come into your assembly a man with gold rings, in fine apparel, and there should also come in a poor man in filthy clothes,  and you pay attention to the one wearing the fine clothes and say to him, “You sit here in a good place,” and say to the poor man, “You stand there,” or, “Sit here at my footstool,”  have you not shown partiality among yourselves, and become judges with evil thoughts?
Listen, my beloved brethren: Has God not chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him?  But you have dishonored the poor man. Do not the rich oppress you and drag you into the courts?  Do they not blaspheme that noble name by which you are called?
If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you do well;  but if you show partiality, you commit sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors.  For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all.  For He who said, “Do not commit adultery,” also said, “Do not murder.”Now if you do not commit adultery, but you do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law.  So speak and so do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty.  For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.

Don’t Be Left Behind…

November 5, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

Sometimes in life when we seem to continue the same circles it is necessary to stop and evaluate why we are not moving forward to keep us from being left behind. In our human nature we can become blind when we get stuck in our ways and allow ourselves to be content in where we are. This happens in our relationships, in our careers and unfortunately it can happen in the church.

So many times we allow our fears of change to rob us of the blessings of God due to our lack of trusting Him so we try to control things ourselves. This very lesson is what God teaches us with the Israelites when they allowed their fears to keep them in the wilderness for forty years. During this time period of allowing their own fears to hold them back they faced many test which caused them to complain and eventually die off before the next generation went forward.

Have you ever considered how God’s creation is constantly changing but at a pace that we often miss? Change is something that comes gradual for us to adapt and when we fail to listen change can come at once to Wake Up those of us up that have fallen asleep. Don’t miss what is being said here in this message because God always gives us signs of what is to come if we will only stop to listen…Amen

Use What God Has Given You…

October 27, 2010 by admin 1 Comment

Did you know that one of the worst things that we can do is hold back someone else when they are ready to move forward? Because when we hold back someone without giving them the opportunity to go forward then we are allowing Satan to spiritually control our actions and restricting the blessings that are sure to come.

It is very easy  to become blinded to our surroundings and miss what God has right before us when we allow Satan to cloud our vision. When we seek daily to stay in tune with God He helps us to be alert to our surroundings to maintain the integrity in what He has given to carry us forward. It is when we overlook what we already have that Satan often robs us of what God has given.

Are you alert to your surroundings? Are you seeking God to point out the areas that might need to be addressed? It does not take much to lose our balance when we take our eyes off of what we already have because this is what Satan spiritually desires in tearing down instead of building up. I challenge you today to learn how to build with God instead of looking for something that you already have.

Why should we ask God to bless us with something else when we are not properly using what  He has already given?

Regain Your Youth

October 25, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

Everywhere we look there are people pushing some new miracle product which they claim will revive our youth and our stamina. Some ministries have even fallen into pushing these products as the best medicine we can receive in forgetting how to believe. While the doctors are injecting others with a potion that fills our hopes and dreams. The world does a good job of selling the world and over complicating things that are really quite simple.

The best medicine that will increase our stamina comes from the self discipline that is taught in the Word of God and our youth is returned when we discover Jesus Christ. Think about it; Are you having trouble breathing or simply have a loss of energy? Have you considered what you are putting in your body and the lack of exercise to maintain the strength in your lungs? Maybe the wrinkles are out of control and your age is starting to show. Have you considered a balanced routine that requires adequate rest or possibly that the wrinkles are just part of life in growing old?

To maintain our health and our stamina it is crucial to stay close to God and learn to be obedient to the Holy Spirit which guides us to do what needs to be done  to maintain who we are. Abraham stayed close to God and he did not need Viagra because he knew who kept his blood pumping and he allowed God to keep his marriage alive. If you need a boost try God before you try anything else on your own and allow the love of Jesus to give you life like you have never known…

The Best Medicine

October 21, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

There are two stages of emotions that can arise spiritually from Satan when we do not know how to recognize them and subdue them in the name of Jesus. One is the immediate emotion that tempts us to act before we think and the second stage is when we allow the evil spirit to manifest in our minds to the point that it can grow into something that it should not to restrict or divide our relationships at a later date.

So many times when we do not release the seeds of anger, jealously, bitterness, unforgiveness or pride they grow into something that causes us to be easily confused and tend to cause us to have shallow relationships with no depth in understanding.  When we do not know how to communicate in love and release the things that are holding us back then we often find ourselves either depressed or very temperamental.

The world disagrees with this because they do not understand it and they can’t make any money off of it. The best medicine that we can ever experience comes in the Word of God in complete honesty with nothing to hide…

Spiritual Revelations

Don’t be like Eli in 1st Samuel and miss something that has been given by God. If you recall with Eli he did not listen because the Word of God was rare in those days and he did not recognize what was taking place until he saw the persistence of Samuel…
