River Of Life…

February 21, 2012 by admin 8 Comments

There is a spiritual river in life that can be fully discovered through the love of Jesus Christ. Like any river there is a main channel which is fed from the inner springs of God. There is a natural flow of grace within the living water that soothes the soul. As there is a mighty power in the flow of the river.

Man constructs dams to serve there own purpose and it is when these dams do not allow the water to flow that algae will begin to grow. For man made lakes require something else of man to keep them clean but the rivers of life are purified as they flow down stream.

It is when the springs meet that the bubbles begin to leap and as they learn to flow as one without the restrictions of man we begin to witness the hand of our Creator in this beautiful land….Amen

“When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.” Luke1:41

Trust In The Lord

November 29, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

1 Corinthians 3 Do not deceive yourselves. If any of you think you are wise by the standards of this age, you should become “fools” so that you may become wise. 19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God’s sight. As it is written: “He catches the wise in their craftiness”; 20 and again, “The Lord knows that the thoughts of the wise are futile.” 21 So then, no more boasting about human leaders! All things are yours, 22 whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or the present or the future—all are yours, 23 and you are of Christ, and Christ is of God.

Living In The Spirit

November 28, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

Brothers and sisters, I could not address you as people who live by the Spirit but as people who are still worldly—mere infants in Christ. 2 I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. Indeed, you are still not ready. 3 You are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly? Are you not acting like mere humans? 4For when one says, “I follow Paul,” and another, “I follow Apollos,” are you not mere human beings?

5 What, after all, is Apollos? And what is Paul? Only servants, through whom you came to believe—as the Lord has assigned to each his task. 6 I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. 7 So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is (anything), but only God, who makes things grow. 8 The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor.

A Beacon Of Light…

November 20, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

If you have ever experienced a beacon of light when being trapped in a cave or through dense fog, then recall the joy of the moment when you finally new that you had found the Way. As in  any survival experience within a ship at sea or being trapped in a cave there is nothing that can alter your focus once you are fixed on that beacon of light in Jesus Christ that is there to help us return to the Way back home.

The interesting part of this message are the principles, responsibilities and the order in which we are to follow. Look at the movie Titanic for instance. The captain allowed someone to go against his better judgement due to his influence of money and power while the deck hands on the bow of the ship became too occupied in other discussion. This distraction caused them to not sound the warning sign in a timely manner and eventually caused the ship to sink at sea. The ship was sold as indestructible with alot of glamour for others to see. This glamour and size of the Titanic caused many to lose their focus and balance with God to the point of sacrificing survival items or lets say (commodities) in order to sell more space and to service the debt of construction.

Who knows what these watchmen were discussing on the Titanic or if they were really not warning the helm. The one in charge could have been too distracted himself and neglecting the warning from the watchmen on their post. The point of the message is this,” We are not to allow anything other than God to guide our decisions and actions in order to protect our homes. Never are we to allow the influence of money, power or popularity to distract us from our responsibilities within the temporary positions that we have received!” There is a necessary balance and focus in order to maintain the integrity of our homes that parallels a ship and crew at sea. Each crew member that receives a post is to be a watchmen to insure the proper guidance of the helm. For the watchmen are not there to give the orders but to give warning of what is to come when neglecting the Way and to note what they see ahead. Some on the ship are not watchmen but workers that play a vital roll. It is when the crew neglects their own position and allows their focus to debate other positions that we can begin to witness the ship going down at sea.

Where many watchmen get distracted is when they take their eyes off of the beacon of light and begin to debate with others about the way we are to travel. For there are specific positions and responsibilities within each position and the Way has already been mapped out. The objective is to recognize the importance of our positions within our homes, our jobs and the church body to insure that something does not slip up on us without proper warning or preparation.

There can not be two fathers within a home nor can there be two captains of a ship. For the father of any home should take consideration and the input of his family as any captain should do the same with his crew. Ultimately though each leader is responsible for their own decisions and lack of actions which can bring harm back upon the home. For a crew that is being led by two or more leaders that show lack of unity and respect for the positions which have been given or allowed by God only brings disunity and division within the body. It is when the crew runs the captain and the children lead the parents that we can find a lack of order, direction and productivity which causes us to become lost at sea.

There is a distinct order and chain of command that has been given by God that we are to follow with our Creator being first. The Lord plainly instructs us to honor thy father and thy mother as well as we are to obey our authorities. This order has been given to maintain the freedom which we have been given and to protect us as we obey God’s Word. Never are we to lead rebellion but we are to seek God in diligent prayer to set us free while teaching others to have faith and to believe. For God is in control and there are lessons that come for disobedience and the object is to receive the correction of God and to learn the lessons for our childrens future.

May God raise up men and women that are willing to stand in faith without wavering to this fallen world and may He have mercy on us for our national sin for our children’s life ahead…. Take a brief moment to watch this YouTube clip  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5609Lrpy8VQ on the sinking of the Titanic and recognize the parallel of this message. How many times must history repeat itself before finally Wake Up to God’s Truth???

God’s Timing…

October 27, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

The forward motion of the gears within a clock can teach us many different spiritual elements of time. Throughout the Holy Bible we learn over and over where nothing was ever accomplished until the people were in one spirit and in one mind. As we continue to compare the gears of a clock to the body of Christ we can witness all different shapes and sizes traveling at different speeds and in different directions but all serving the same purpose in the Kingdom of God.

Here is where many get hung up in time. Due to the expansion of the gears within the clock many fail to expand in their position through sacrifice which teaches us that we are to decrease at times for others to increase. This lack of proper expansion within the body is often caused by pride or simple lack of trust within God. The Lord teaches us this very lesson in the anatomy of the human body which He created in the formation and expansion of new cells but due to the blindness of man they often operate as gears within a clock that won’t move.

Learning to operate within the natural progression of time requires communication in love as we learn to merge and operate as one without judging another. Many churches wonder why they are struggling to fill their pughs or struggling to hold things together and the answer is simple. They have created a box or a clock that just operates in the motions of time with little to no life being shown in Jesus Christ. This same thing can take place in our homes and in our careers when we just go through the motions of time without any substance behind our words and actions.

Time is a very valuable resource in order to build relationships and to maintain an understanding. For without an understanding there is no relationship and there is no relationship without an understanding. May I encourage you this morning to step out of the box with Jesus and watch what takes place as you experience something new. There is a peace beyond understanding when we quit fighting to hold on and learn to place our trust in the hands of the Lord as He carries us forward in His time….

“The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is  patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance” 2 Peter 3:9
